Therapist/Clinician

The Village Family Service Center in St Cloud would like to contract for a LICSW, LMFT, or LP to complete diagnostic assessments in DC 0-3 format for birth–5-year-old children. The clinician may provide in-office or in-home therapeutic services as well if desired. Applicants must be trained in DC 0-3 and complete ECSI training as soon as possible. The candidate must be a team player and enjoy working with infants and young children. Licensed Mental Health Professional

The Village Family Service Center, a 117-year-old nonprofit human service agency, is expanding its services in Minnesota and needs to hire a part-time Licensed Mental Health Professional (LP, LICSW, or LMFT). Mental Health Internship

Educational criteria: Student seeking a bachelor’s master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling or mental health related field.
The Village places graduate student interns in its Counseling, Family Group Decision Making, and Intensive In-Home Family-Based Services programs. We can also place bachelor’s level interns in Family Group Decision Making. Please submit cover letter and resume to Sandi Zaleski. No phone calls please.

Big Brothers Big Sisters
Fargo, North Dakota
NOTE: All Big Brothers Big Sisters internships have been filled through fall semester 2010.
Big Brothers Big Sisters accepts undergraduate interns from Social Work, CDFS, Psychology, Sociology, and Criminal Justice fields. Internships are ongoing.
Big Brothers Big Sisters matches youth in the Fargo–Moorhead area with adult mentors. Through community-based and school-based mentoring, Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) of The Village Family Service Center strives to prevent negative behaviors and equip children with the skills to make positive decisions, healthy choices and achieve self-sufficiency.
Interns learn and assist with the service delivery process including screening of volunteers, assessment of youth, developing outcome objectives, matching, and providing match support.

Development Intern

Educational criteria: Student seeking a bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public relations or related field
Program information: The Village Development Office raises funds for its programs through current giving, corporate sponsorships and special events. Current giving occurs through direct mail appeals. Corporate sponsorships are a major part of special events, which include the Bobcat ND State Open (a three-day pro-am golf tournament), Home Run Heroes (a season-long event in partnership with the FM RedHawks), Wine & Dine (a dinner/dance/silent auction) and Bowl for Kids’ Sake (a bowl-a-thon for the Big Brothers Big Sisters program). Other special events occur throughout the year through a variety of partnerships with community organizations.

Child Welfare focus, with specific interaction and learning through the services of Pregnancy Counseling, Adoption, and Search/Disclosure.
Individual and group experience available. Services delivered utilizing systems theory, developmental theory, and strengths-based empowerment.
Focus and grief and loss Issues, life adjustments and milestones, and communication.
