The Village
Family-Based Services offers intensive in-home family therapy,
counseling and support services to families who have at-risk
children. The goal of the program is to prevent unnecessary
out-of-home placement, and to reunify families where placement
has already occurred. Village therapists involve families as
partners in their therapy and focus on family strengths, empowering
families to help themselves.
- Referrals
may come from local county social services, juvenile courts
or other agencies serving children.
- Referred
families must have one child at risk under the age of eighteen
- Counseling
and other services occur almost entirely within the family
home.

- Adolescent
conflict
- Child
abuse/neglect
- Parenting
skills
- Emotional
problems of parent or child
- Reunification
of families when a child is returning home from placement
