GRAND FORKS – The Village Family Service Center in Grand Forks has received $4,600 in grant funds from the Myra Foundation to help create a more welcoming and inclusive environment for clients.
The grant funds will allow The Village, 1726 S. Washington St., Suite 33A, to replace its outdated and well-worn lobby furniture. The new chairs and side tables will better meet the needs of clients with limited mobility, who have difficulty standing up from a seated position, or who require larger chairs.
The Myra Foundation is a private charity foundation established in 1941 that funds organizations for "charitable, character building and educational purposes," and is a long-standing supporter of The Village.
The Village Family Service Center strengthens kids and families across North Dakota and Minnesota through behavioral health services, including mental health counseling, in-home family therapy, financial counseling, pregnancy options counseling, adoption services, employee assistance programs, and more. For more information, call 800-627-8220.
The Village’s mission is to strengthen individuals we serve through regional community behavioral health services. We are accredited by the Council on Accreditation and are a United Way Community Partner.
