MOORHEAD – The Village Family Service Center’s Moorhead office is moving to a larger location that provides twice the space for therapy sessions. The new building, at 815 37th Ave. S., Moorhead, opens Monday, Oct. 28.
The Village is a nonprofit organization that strengthens individuals and families across North Dakota and Minnesota through behavioral health services. The Moorhead office specializes in children’s mental health.
The portion of the building leased by The Village features 16 individual therapist offices, a playroom and two specialty play therapy rooms with observation windows. An additional 2,000 square feet creates the possibility for future expansion.
“We are so excited to have the space to serve our communities at a greater capacity as we help children and families grow stronger, both personally and in their relationships,” said Joni Medenwald, The Village’s Minnesota Division Director.
The Moorhead office is closed Thursday, Oct. 24, and Friday, Oct. 25, to allow for the move. The office’s phone number remains 701-451-4811. The move does not affect appointments or services at The Village’s two Fargo locations.
To celebrate the new office, located just north of the Azool Center, an open house will be held from 4 to 6 pm Wednesday, Dec. 11, at the new address. A ribbon-cutting is scheduled for 4 p.m., and light refreshments will be served.
The Village’s mission is to strengthen individuals we serve through regional community behavioral health services. We are accredited by the Council on Accreditation and are a United Way Community Partner.
