Amy McIntosh
I've worked as an educator since 2000 and in 2019, I decided to follow my calling to be a counselor. I have always had a deep desire to understand myself so that I can understand others.
I use a trauma-informed approach and do my best to meet each client where they are in life. Some of my preferred methods of working with clients are person-centered, strengths-based, CBT, ACT, Mindfulness, and Compassion Theory.
I am especially passionate about working with people who have felt marginalized by our society and hope to do what I can to be an ally and an advocate.
