Bowl for Kids' Sake: Held annually in March
Bowl for Kids' Sake is the signature fundraiser for Big Brothers Big Sisters of The Village. Your support will ensure that at-risk youth in our community have access to caring, adult mentors.
Participants form teams and collect pledges, then take part in one of four bowling events.
You can also donate in support of an individual bowler or team.
Home Run Heroes: In conjunction with the FM RedHawks Baseball Season
This unique annual fundraiser transforms the summertime tradition of RedHawks baseball into an opportunity for fans to support thousands of children and families in our community receiving services through The Village.
The fun begins when you pledge a dollar amount for each home run scored. Then, it’s time to “play ball!” As the RedHawks’ season progresses, we’ll let you know what the home run tally is, so you can stay informed. “Heroes” will be billed for their pledges at the end of the season. (A one-time Home Run Hero pledge opportunity is also available.)
Bobcat North Dakota Open: Last weekend in August
Since 1984, The Village and Bobcat have partnered to bring this professional golf tournament to the Fargo-Moorhead area. The Village has been the benefiting charity since the beginning of our partnership with Bobcat.
Funds from this event go to support the overall work of The Village, including mental health counseling, addiction treatment, mentoring, adoption and other services designed to strengthen kids and families.
For more information, read the 2019 Sponsor Brochure.
Michael Kaspari Memorial Run for Recovery: Held in September
The Michael Kaspari Memorial Run for Recovery is a fun evening of events that raises awareness about chemical dependency and addiction treatment and supports the work of First Step Recovery in Fargo! You can take part in a 5K run/walk, or a 1K kids/family fun run/walk.
First Step Recovery's Family Program is the recipient of funds from this event. The Family Program is group counseling available to family members of loved ones seeking treatment. We believe recovery is most effective when all family members understand addiction and how to support their loved one. All adult family members are welcome to attend and are not charged for these services.
Wine & Dine: November 15, 2019
Wine & Dine is the premiere gala in town that provides an amazing culinary and wine experience for guests.
Proceeds from Wine & Dine support the greatest needs at The Village. Providing access to services to those in need and removing barriers is critical to improving the behavioral health of our communities. Your support through this event will further that mission.
