The Village Family Service Center’s Fargo Counseling team, EAP Counseling, Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), and First Step Recovery program are relocating to a new office space in Fargo in May 2019. Here’s everything you need to know about the move:
Where is the new Village office?
2701 12th Ave. S., Fargo. It’s about two blocks west of our existing office at 1201 25th St. S., and just east of the Sports Bubble.
How do I get there?
From 25th Street, turn west onto 12th Avenue South and head straight for two blocks.
If you’re coming from the west on 13th Avenue South, turn north at 28th Street and then turn right (east) at 12th Avenue South.
Why are you moving?
To better serve you! The need for our services continues to increase, and our current offices are at capacity. The new location provides us more space, allowing us to expand services, and brings our counseling and addiction treatment teams under one roof. The addition of a lecture hall in the new space also provides us the opportunity to host community outreach and professional education events.
Why is First Step Recovery co-locating with Village counselors?
First Step has been a part of The Village Family since 2011, though maintained a separate office space at 3201 Fiechtner Drive S. We are excited to bring these teams together at the new building to provide more integrated, seamless care for clients.
Tell me about the new office.
Upon entering, you’ll be greeted by reception and then have a seat in the spacious lobby. Counseling offices line the perimeter of the building. The interior features five group rooms, a conference room, and a lecture hall for larger meetings and community outreach events. Restrooms are located near the lobby, and can also be accessed from the hallway outside the group rooms.
When do appointments start at the new location?
Monday, May 20, 2019.
What is parking like?
Parking spots are available for guests on the east and south side of the building. Employees will park on the north and south side.
Which door do I use?
Clients enter through main entrance on the east side.
Are animals welcome?
Service animals, which have been trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of an individual with a disability, are welcome at Village offices. Therapy pets, which must be registered by a recognized Animal Assisted Therapy organization, are also allowed. Companion animals, or pets, are not allowed inside the building.
How do I make an appointment?
Same as before! Call us at 701-451-4900 or request an appointment online at TheVillageFamily.org/appointment
What’s happening to the brick building on 25th Street?
We are there, too! Clients will still come to The Village office at 1201 25th St. S. for pregnancy counseling, adoption services, and financial counseling. Our Big Brothers Big Sisters program, business office, and IT staff are relocating to that building from our annex location.
What about the Moorhead office?
The Village’s mission is to strengthen individuals we serve through regional community behavioral health services. We are accredited by the Council on Accreditation and are a United Way Community Partner.
