I am an outpatient and school-based therapist in the Grand Forks office. I work with people of all ages. I received my bachelor’s degree in science from the University of North Dakota with a major in psychology, and later went on to receive my Master of Arts degree in Counseling, also from UND. I completed my internship at The Village and am so excited to continue working with clients in the Grand Forks community. I have many years of experience serving this community, and I love it here. When working with clients, I take an approach that prioritizes the client’s independence and autonomy. While my approach is multimodal, I utilize interventions from several evidence-based approaches based on the client’s needs and preferences. I incorporate aspects of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing, emotion focused therapy (EFT), etc. My goals are to partner and collaborate with clients to find the approach that works best for them. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and doing multiple crafty hobbies!
