Devils Lake Area Foundation supports Youth Cultural Liaison Program

The Village Family Service Center’s Devils Lake office has received a $1,000 grant for its Youth Cultural Liaison Program (YCLP) from the Devils Lake Area Foundation.

YCLP focuses on reducing the over-representation of Native American and other minority youth in the Juvenile Justice System. It does so by providing case management, helping families identify goals, making referrals to relevant community-based services and providing direct services, including transportation. Juvenile Court refers youth and families to YCLP when it is appropriate to do so.

The Devils Lake Area Foundation has supported The Village for more than a decade. The Village is grateful to the Devils Lake Area Foundation for this longstanding support.

The Village’s mission is to strengthen individuals we serve through regional community behavioral health services. We are accredited by the Council on Accreditation and are a United Way Community Partner.
