Laura Larson
Choosing therapy can be difficult; building trust is my priority. I hold a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology from NDSU, and as an LPCC with over 25 years of experience, my goal is to empower children and adolescents to heal and improve their functioning, while also empowering parents with the tools needed to foster deeper, more fulfilling family connections.
I integrate tailored, evidence-based, and creative interventions into my practice. Because play is a child’s natural language and toys are their words, I utilize play and art therapy interventions to help children communicate, process emotions, and heal in ways that feel natural to them. I also incorporate trauma-healing approaches such as EMDR, TF-CBT, and Brainspotting into my work. Additional techniques include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), and Family Systems and Strengths-Based Perspectives. My goal is to help your family find a path forward together.
