Life's stresses right now are unlike those we've ever known. That means it's more important than ever to stay connected with your therapist. For some people, it may be the first time they've felt the need to access mental health counseling or addiction treatment.
In order to protect clients and staff, Village services are being provided online instead of in-person. The good news is, these online appointments, called telehealth, have been proven to be effective. Most insurance plans and employee assistance plans will cover it. The connection is safe, secure and private. You can see and hear your therapist in real-time. You'll still be face-to-face, just not in the same room.
Shauna Erickson, MS, LMFT, shared what her clients have been saying about telehealth, and why someone may want to schedule their first session. Taking care of your mental health now can mean a smoother road in the future. To schedule an appointment, call The Village office most convenient to you, or request an appointment online.
