Hannah Pederson
Working with individuals, children, and families challenges and excites me every day; I enjoy seeing clients make progress and accomplish their goals as well as providing empathy and understanding when things are not going so well. I work full-time as an outpatient therapist, providing therapy to individuals and families in the school and office setting and work from person-centered, social justice, and trauma lenses to see my client as a whole person. I use a variety of therapy models, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Child-Parent Psychotherapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy. I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. My undergraduate degree is in Human Development and Family Science from NDSU and my master's degree is in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from MSUM. I have been working in various roles with The Village since 2013, including as an undergraduate intern with the Big Brothers Big Sisters program, a teacher at Nokomis Child Care Center, and now as a therapist with the Moorhead team. When I am not working I enjoy spending time with my husband and family, cooking, reading, and getting together with friends.
