As an Employee Assistance Counselor in the Detroit Lakes region, my goal is to assist individuals with tapping into and utilizing their strengths to grow and find change. I love seeing others make progress and reach their goals. Everyone faces challenges at some point in their life, and I enjoy being able to walk alongside others during these times to provide therapy in which individuals feel safe and connected. I use a variation of different approaches to counseling including Relational Cultural (RCT), Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and other mind-body interventions.
I graduated from North Dakota State University with a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I started at the Village in 2019 in the Grand Forks region working with children and families, where I received training in working with children 0-5 years old. I grew up close to the Detroit Lakes area and am excited to be back! To keep myself well, I enjoy doing yoga, reading, and spending time with my husband and family.
