I personally believe that my love of people is my greatest asset, it is what drives me as a counselor. I am extremely empathetic and feel it is one of the reasons I went into the field of counseling.
I have a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from University of Phoenix. I hold a master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from Capella University. I did my internship under the supervision of an LMFT, LAT, LPC, MAC and was very fortunate to diversify my experiences. My counseling interests are substance abuse, family therapy, expressive arts therapy, trauma, and grief/loss. My favorite therapy is Sand Tray and I am working on my collection. I love to attend trainings and learn more about this form of therapy. I also enjoy substance abuse counseling and group therapies. During my internship I implemented a group therapy program that is still being used today.
My personal interests are fishing, camping, hunting, family time, travel, and health and fitness. My biggest interest are my four children whom I absolutely adore. I have been very blessed with a very supportive husband.
