Alyssa Wennerberg
As a counselor, I utilize a strengths-based approach to empower my clients to become their best authentic selves, achieve their goals, and overcome daily obstacles. I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from North Dakota State University in 2017. I have worked with individuals, couples, and families at The Village since 2017. I have been trained in many evidence-based approaches that focus on trauma, attachment, and the birth to 5-year-old population. These approaches include: Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), TF-CBT for Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children (TF-CBT for CSEC), Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), and Brainspotting. My clinical interests include human trafficking, sexual exploitation of children, abuse, neglect, and high-risk issues.
